Network programmers are shifting the hit to Thursday nights for the new season, where it will battle NBC's powerhouse sitcom Friends. Don't think for a moment Carey is worried about the move..And if he is, he's not showing it. "According to the research, Whose Line has the second most loyal viewing audience of any show on TV," Carey said after a taping of the show in Hollywood. "The first is Friends, so I think we'll get our audience and they'll get their audience, and ABC will finally have an inroad on Thursday night just because the whose Line audience is so loyal and they'll watch it wherever it goes. Friends is going to beat us, certainly. But we'll still have a loyal audience watching us. And that's all I care about." As for Carey's wednesday night hit The Drew Carey Show, the actor is making plans to do a live episode of the sitcom during the November ratings sweeps. "At the end of every scene, we're going to do improv." says Carey. "It's going to be tough" Taking part in Whose Line's improvisational comedy is a little easier for Carey this season. But he admits he's still no expert at it.
