I think it's kinda neat, but I really hope that they use him for more than songs. He can do so much more than that. But it doesn't leave much space left for rotation. Seriously, there are others who are really good at improv and I dare say that it would probably even be a good ep if either Colin or Ryan weren't on one or two of them. What will happen if another brilliant improvisor is found? Are they going to stick them in the fourth spot? I may be the only one holding this opinion when I say I'm not too fond of the "regulars" idea, anyway. But that's my ramble, so yeah. I hope that he gets to be in more than one ep. Being a huge fan of Wayne's, I am really, torn, because I'm thrilled to see him get the recognition he deserves, and I don't mind that he's now a regular (from what I've heard, he'll be in 19 of the 22 new shows, so there is room for three shows with two other people besides Ryan, Colin, and Wayne). On the other hand, I also miss the way the British version mixed up people, and I think the show works better when there aren't regulars. Colin, Ryan, and Wayne are extremely talented and funny, but unfortunately I think that new talent is being sacrificed. There are a lot of great improvisers out there that are basically unknown, and DL would be a big boost to their careers. I hope that if it stays around, the producers will be more, rather than less, willing to let more perfomers on. It lists Drew, Ryan, Colin and Wayne as the cast, with bios on the four of them. Greg, Brad, and Laura are mentioned in the show's synopsis and that's pretty much it. This would not raise an eyebrow with me, except that Greg and Brad *had* bios up, and they are now gone. I find it an interesting insight into ABC's opinion of the direction the show is taking. True, he's been in all but about three of them so far anyway but as has been said before, it doesn't allow for much rotation (or variety). What's going to happen to Greg, Brad, Denny, etc. with only 22 episodes and therefore, only 22 guest spots. Does that mean new talent will fall by the wayside? I thought Ian Gomez did okay, but makes you wonder. Glad to find they added the credit reading to the US show. Now, if they'd only do away with the Drew end-game and stop having so many close-ups of Drew (I guess that's network interference)...
