The Greg Proops/Rocky Horror mystery solved Sunday, 12-Sep-1999 04:09:31 208.255.89.53 writes: You may recall that when I saw Greg perform in May, he made a remark to me about The Rocky Horror Picture Show that floored me completely. If you do not recall, what happened was: I told him I was leaving for Chico State University soon. He replied, "I thought you went to Rocky Horror University," smirked, and walked off before I could ask him how he knew about that. (And I drove everyone there absolutely CRAZY the rest of the night trying to figure it out!) Well, last night I saw him again, and was with a few members of my RHPS cast (and Lindsey, too). He's referenced RHPS on "Vs." more than once, so my friend Bobbie asked him if he was a fan. He said yes he was, has seen it about 100 times, offered great anecdotes about meeting Tim Curry (star of movie) and Richard O'Brien (writer/producer/co-star), and was offered the role of the Criminologist (the part I play) in a live stage production a few years sgo. So, then I tell him of how he stunned me, and asked him how he knew. Answer? He's seen my website! (Gulp - does that mean he's read all that WL fanfic? Better save that question for next time ...) He said he saw a picture of me in costume on my page. (The pic is located in my personal profile, which also proclaims, "Favorite stand-up comic: Greg Proops", so if he read that, I hope it made him smile. :-) ) Anyway, mystery solved.
