- Developing from nothing a school computer network comprising 550 workstations and multiple Novell Netware, Windows & Linux servers for 1000 users.
- Planning & implementing periodic upgrades of the school network including coordinating the work of electrical contractors to increase network capacity from 2 Mbps in 1987 to 10Mbps and then to its current level of 100 Mbps with 1000 Mbps being rolled out.
- Managed the temporary removal and restoration of major network services for a term during refurbishment of Computer Centre. Undertaking this task in such a way as to minimise service disruption required significant forward planning, and coordination with the builders and telecommunications contractors.
- Development of Hardware replacement schedules and associated budgeting projections.
- Acted as 'Event Coordinator', planning & conducting numerous Emergency Service training exercises involving up to 60 volunteers.
- Managed User Group activities including organising site visits to schools and presentations by industry representatives.
- Convened User Group Conferences including coordinating presenters from overseas, government, universities, the IT industry, schools and their resources as well as enrolling and catering for up to 100 participants.
- Initiated the successful migration from traditional paper-based administration to the use of the Internet for administrative communication and throughout WICEN (Vic.) Inc.
