It has been in the making, but on this day we have at last completed ALL of Molten Core. Ragnaros has felt the wrath of Protocol. This is the perfect opportunity to give thanks to those that have endured the relentless hours of playing and the almost impossible task of attempting Ragnaros. There was a large time gap between the first time we completed Domo and killing Rag, but the wait was worth the while. Now that Ragnaros and Molten Core is at farming stage, the officers will endeavour to move the raid through MC a little faster so that we can leave more time in the week to try and progress through the other raids, especially Blackwing Lair and the upcoming AQ.

Undoubtably, Ragnaros was difficult and very expensive. It was a group effort and much preparation was required in order for there to be an optimal chance of killing Rag. Here is a small list of what was used in the 2 tries for Rag:

   Flask of the Titans  x 5 = 250g
   Flask of Distilled Wisdom  x 10 = 500g
   Flask of Supreme Power  x 10 = 500g
   Greater Fire Protection Potion x 40 x 5 = 400g
   Major Mana Potion  x 20 x 2 = 80g
   Repair bills = ~ 80g
   Other stuff used = ~ 200g
   Total for downing Ragnaros == 1930g

Remember, it costs the the guild lots to down Ragnaros, so please contribute to the guild where and when you can. These include things like herbalising for the guild bank, buying your own pots, or helping others to farm for the materials. Every little bit counts and makes it easier for those that are contributing already.

For those guildies that have been wondering: "I wonder who that guy looks like... Are they good looking or just plain ass sad...". Well your questions can now be answered for some of the guildies! Uncle actually got this group together, and we may make another grouping for a few more that are based in Melbourne. From left to right: Uncle, Woof, Dorgoroth, Taurenator, Brickwall (yes, even though we consider ourselves as Aussies, some of us actually are Asian looking). The picture was taken at Hustlers, Melbourne. If anyone knows the place, try and get in contact with either Brickwall or Taurenator and we can an even bigger group for the next outing.

It has been brought to the attention that our Molten Core raiders are short on Fire Resistance. If we are to kill Ragnaros then we as a group must improve our fire resistance. Equipment can be found in many dungeons and instances where they provide some sort of FR. The best way to check out where some of these items can be found, is to talk to your class officer, otherwise check out Thottbot.

Three items that all raiders should have are:
   Drakefire Amulet
   Royal Seal of Eldre'Thalas
   Ocean's Breeze / Tidal Loop

This is a little extreme but here is what each member should aim for, a complete set of FR equipment (Warrior - Brickwall).
