Meditation
Welcome to Circles Counselling

Meditation is a pathway that turns obstacles into opportunities for self discovery. And nothing could be simpler. It involves a simple practice of being still and present.
When we first begin, we tend to approach meditation in the same way we operate in our daily lives. E.g. we are inclined to be hard on ourselves or impatient or we find it difficult to sit still. However, if we persist, we gradually transcend these old patterns and begin to enjoy our meditation practice.
Meditation offers us many opportunities to heal and understand our way of being.
It has been known to lower blood pressure and anxieties levels.
It can help ease depression.
It offers us moments to just be in lives which are usually busy and hectic.
There are many different forms of Meditation and it is good to explore a few to see which best suits you and your lifestyle. In this meditation course we will explore different types of meditation for you to learn from your own experience what you need.
Meditation can be done anywhere at anytime.
It is also a good idea to keep a journal of your meditation practice as this enables you to follow your journey and the changes that happen for you along the way.
"The true practice of ( Meditation) is to sit as if you were drinking water when you are thirsty"
