Charles Andrew John McEwen - aka Charlie - was born at 2:13pm AEST on 4 August 2007.

It's a boy!

At birth, Charlie weighed 3.76kgs and was 54cm long.   With the laptop stereo setup in the delivery suite, Dave's "first song" for the little man was certainly a little presumptuous yet seemed entirely appropriate - "For Unto Us a Child is Born" from Handel's Messiah.  Massive thanks to our primo midwife Skye, Dr Anne, Annie and the rest of the team at North Shore Private.

About the name: Charles after Dave's maternal grandfather and Flick's great grand father on her mother's side; Andrew after Dave's father; John after Flick's paternal grandfather.
