Ex. Australian Broadcasting Commission Preamps
These two brown units were rescued from the A.B.C.
They were originally designed as mono preamps to
matching 1/4" mono tape drive units.
The units are basically a solidstate version of the
Beyer / Rola 66 (badged as a 77 Mk.IV).
Currently i'm building power supplies to get these units
up and running again.
They certainly look promising. They feature massive
transformers on every input and output.
They have a mic input, line input and front DI (bridged
high-impedence, transformer balanced) and i just can't wait
see how they sound.
