Regions of Settlement of our Standish Ancestors in New Zealand

After arriving in New Zealand, these pioneers initially settled in the following localities in the North Island of New Zealand:
  • Standish Family - New Plymouth, Taranaki.

  • Brown Family - Omata, Inglewood, Taranaki.

  • Langdon Family - Masterton, Wellington [Province].

  • Taylor Family - Mangaone Valley, Morere, Hawkes Bay.

  • Pilson Family - Wairoa, Hawkes Bay.

Whereas these ancestors of ours came to New Zealand, other relations of these immigrants would have likely have emigrated to other countries such as Australia, Canada, Argentina, South Africa or the USA, while some would have stayed back in Europe. Consequently there may be branches distributed around the world.
