Lake Cootharaba

 

Our holiday to lake Cootharaba, I can recomend it to anyone

 

We chose to stay at the Jetty Escape, see the link below. Lake Cootharaba is a great location if you are interested in fishing, boating, sailing,kayaking or canoeing........ .

We were able to leave our canoe and dinghy on the beach, as Boreen Point is a very safe quiet little town. It was not peak season so we did have the lake to our selves.

 

As you can see the lake has a good sandy beach, easy to launch from. I would suggest anyone with kids should choose a location like this one to learn at

 

As you can see the beach is well protected from the harsh sun.

 

I was able to walk the dinghy out past the point till I could catch the wind

 

I was able to get out each day we were there and have a sail

 

I will be back as there is nothing better than being able to just go out when it suits you.

 

This is a very picturesque lake

 

This is the jetty that the accomidation we stayed at was named after.

 

 

For Jane, the north coast from Brisbane is dotted with these volcanic plugs.
