About Us
We
are a small home based cattery breeding Scottish Folds/Shorthairs and Tonkinese,
this started as a hobby and it is now a passion, our whole family is involved
in the rearing and care of all cats and kittens at Miralea. We had domestic
cats all our lives; it was not until we were introduced to and bought a
beautiful British Shorthair by the name of Charlie that we fell in love with
these adorable cats. Six months later we purchased Catie our first fold and
that's where it all began. The
British, Scottish Fold/Shorthair and Tonkinese are wonderful cats to own they
are very affectionate, playful and real family cats, which become a very
special part in your lives.
Our
cats and kittens are shown in Open Championship Cat Shows in Victoria. We have achieved some fantastic results
with our wonderful felines.
My
daughter Britney has now become more involved in the cat fancy and has joined
me in a new prefix “Pawzette” she hopes to become a
junior steward and learn more about cat showing and breeding. After a friend’s Burmese Sam stayed with as for a 3 week holiday, Britney decided
that this was the cat for her and we contacted a friend that had some
kittens.

Changes At Miralea Cattery
Due
to the following we have cut back our numbers and litters that we have now
per year.
In 2006
I went back into the work force full time, I have been working in a
rehabilitation share home on the Mornington Peninsular as a Disability Carer,
the people that live their have received their injuries from car accidents
and all suffer from ABI’s (Afflicted Brain Injuries).
They are a lovely group of people and I am so happy to now be apart of
their lives helping make it better and easier for them.
As
of August I am now working as House Manager at a home close by and enjoying
it very much.
