Part of Nicole's commitment as an authorised/qualified marriage celebrant (and a member of the Australian Federation of Civil Celebrants AFCC) is providing couples with a professional and personal ceremony, and a high quality of service in the lead up to your wedding day. Each couple that Nicole serves, whether it’s just the two of you (and two witnesses) or with 300 family and friends receives the same attention to detail to their needs and to their ceremony.....
To conduct an Absolutely Fabulous Ceremony takes careful planning and time, often with several hours of behind the scenes preparation and activities that are rarely seen. The celebrant is the one person/expense that you MUST have at your wedding, I would actively encourage you to disregard the cost and focus on having a celebrant you can relate to, who has a clear voice, and instils in you both a level of confidence that your ceremony will be handled professionally.
A quality ceremony conducted by Nicole may sound very expensive, but
you will no doubt find that Nicole's services provide excellent
value for money, in the context of all the other wedding expenses
incurred.
Please enquire about discounted rates for ceremonies Monday to
Friday.
Nicole looks forward to helping make your special day a happy and
stress free one.
You are most welcome to telephone Nicole on (02) 4727 7292 or 0427
393 699 for obligation free information.
If you would like to know what people have said about the ceremonies
that Nicole has conducted, please have a look at her Letters page.
Please note however that there are some legal requirements
A "notice of intended marriage" needs to be in the hands
of your marriage celebrant at least one full calendar month
prior to
the wedding taking place.
This document can be filled out "on line" in Nicole's
office, or you may download it from here
You will also need to provide
1) birth certificates if you were born in Australia, or a foreign passport
or birth certificate if you were born overseas.
2) If either of you have been married before, please provide
documentary evidence of how the marriage terminated

(decree absolute
or death certificate).
Please note that all documents need to be originals.

If any of the documents are in a foreign language - official
translations will be required.
One of the decisions you will need to consider is whether or not to change your name. There is no law to make you change your name. On the day of your wedding you will be presented with a Certificate of Marriage, which may not be accepted as identification to change your name. Once your marriage is registered, you can apply for an official (registered) marriage certificate. This certificate is required if you want to change your name on important documents such as your passport or drivers licence. Nicole, can assist you with this, however there is a charge from Births Deaths & Marriages (at this stage) of $42 for a standard certificate. Beautiful commemorative certificates are also available.
Get an early and firm grip on the fact that some things will not go quite as you planned. The three year old flower-girl will pick the worst time to throw a massive tantrum. You can imagine what could happen if the four year old page-boy has been given the real rings (to avert disaster, please don’t give him the real rings). Your stiletto heels will sink into the grass. The photographer will fall into the fountain. A roaming dog will decide “to leave its mark” just as you’re exchanging your vows. The butterflies decide to stay in their little boxes – all snug. The candles decide to keep going out!. The best man drops the rings. Your grandmother will fluff the reading. The roses in your bouquet are not the exact shade of pink that you wanted. All of these occurrences are events that are uncontrollable, and in many cases, add a note of fresh reality and welcome humour. Don’t aim for perfection – aim for memorable!
Send clear directions in your invitations, including parking details and logistical glitches.
Your wedding ceremony can be held in the privacy of your own home, a
park, or venue of your choice. View the Venues
page if you would like to find out about some local venues.
Email enquiries are welcome. To assist Nicole to give you all the information you require, please remember to give as much detail as possible including
your names, a contact phone number, where (venue/suburb/locality), and
when (date and preferred time) you would like for your ceremony.
