VIPER CRUISER DESCRIPTION

The VIPER CRUISER 2 plan / kit hovercraft is a fully amphibious vehicle capable of carrying four adults and gear across a variety of surfaces including sand, snow, ice and water.

It is fast, stable, easy to drive. It has been designed to handle the most rugged conditions.

The kit is designed for the "do-it-yourselfer". It is simple and inexpensive to build. The hull is strong, lightweight, durable and superior in design.

The VIPER CRUISER 2 hovercraft is ideal for cruising, fishing, exploring, farming and various industrial applications.

The VIPER CRUISER 2 hovercraft hull is designed for a variety of power plant installations from 50hp to 100+hp. This includes ultra light, snowmobile and lightweight four-stroke engines. See below for more information on other engine types.

The VIPER CRUISER 2 hovercraft is a technically advanced plan / kit hovercraft. It has been designed by an Engineer who has extensive knowledge of the construction and maintenance of small, light hovercraft.

The VIPER CRUISER 2 hovercraft kit is constructed using marine plywood, timber battens, Rigid PVC foam, fibreglass cloth and epoxy resin. 

Using an epoxy/plywood/foam sandwich and "stitch and glue" construction, the VIPER CRUISER 2 hull is strong, lightweight and durable.

Engine installations that may be used:

No alteration to design required:
• Hirth: All 49hp+ engines.
• Rotax: 447, 503, 532, 582 and 583.
• Yamaha: PE485, VMAX 500 to 600.
• Blue Thunder: 685cc Twin.
• Robin EC44.

Alteration to design is required:
• Subaru: 1800cc push rod, 1800cc to 2500cc overhead cam.
• VW: 1600 - 2000cc boxer.
• Verner SVS 1400 (80hp)
• Fugi: 780 and some older models with simular configuration.
• Jabiru: 1600 & 2200
