Viper Hovercraft

This is small selection of owner/builders that have successfully build and operated a Viper Cruiser. A large number of Viper Cruiser Plan owners are well into construction. Many are complete, but I do not have a photo to submit to this page. We will accept progression shots also, so send them in.

	Owner/builder: Deon Birchmeier Area: Melbourne, Victoria. Australia. Deon was the first builder to use a Subaru EA81 as a substitute for the 503 Rotax. Working carefully with us, Deon has been able to build the unit to the latest Subaru Install specs available. As you can see, Deon has handcrafted some rather futuristic shapes to individualise his craft. Deon also installed a Viper 4X Rescue light bar. Deon has been a regular visitor at the Nell Fabrication factory.
	Owner/builder: Ken Conolly Area: Herberton, Queensland. Australia. Ken opted to upgrade his kit to a Rotax 582. Ken followed the plans precisely, which enabled a short construction time. The craft is well presented is quite within the design weight. Ken has operated the craft from Northern Queensland, down to Melbourne Victoria. Ken has been a regular visitor at the Nell Fabrication factory.
	Owner/builder: Charles Dixon Area: Illnois, USA Charles was the first of our OS builders to complete his craft. His first engine installation was a V Twin bike engine with a complex drive system. Charles classed the first engine as a bit of lemon - over heating and mechanical problems. Charles then opted for the Rotax 583, which was fitted to the 582 engine frame & drive. The 583 is 92hp @ 8,500rpm Vs the 65hp @ 6,500 rpm for the 582. Although some efficiencies need sorting out to get the unit to VR1 specs, Charles says it fly's. Well done.
