Teachers Takamatsu Toshitsugu (1889 - 1972)
As a teenager, Takamatsu studied Takagi Yoshin Ryu at the dojo of Mizuta sensei. The last great teacher that Takamatsu met was Ishitani sensei, who taught him Kukishin Ryu, Takagi Yoshin Ryu and Gikan Ryu. Hatsumi Masaaki (1931 - )
In the 1950s and 1960s, Dr Hatsumi travelled continuously across Japan to study with Toshitsugu Takamatsu, of Kashiwara City, from whom he received his initiation into the life ways of the ninja. He supervises the Bujinkan (Warrior God Training Hall) organization, made up of his students who now carry shihan and shidoshi instructor titles and carry out the teaching work on world wide basis. The original Bujinkan Sydney Dojo that Kalos sensei supervises has been operating continuously since 1984. Most Ninjutsu pratitioners that have at one time or another achieved instructor status in the Bujinkan and set up dojos on the east coast of Australia have been under the tutelage of Kalos sensei. |
