Flinders Christian Community College – Carrum Downs Campus

Physical Education

Changes! That would sum up the situation for me.
I have enjoyed the year that I have just had and am looking forward to the challenges that 2005 will bring. It has been a great deal of fun and I have learnt so much this year. FCCC is a great school with a positive culture, encouragement and support and of course a Christian emphasis.

There have been previous years that I would have said that they were the best but this one takes the cake.

An additional colleague to the PE department will also join me. This means that I will be the “Head of PE” and our numbers will double. It will be great to have someone to share the load with. There will be a steep learning curve for both of us with a slightly new structure.

Information and Communication Technologies Co-Ordinator - ICT

One of my roles in 2005 will be to head up the ICT Department, (which is sometimes called eLearning). I am not sure of all the ins and outs of this job as it is still being worked on. I have had meetings and will need to help develop a job description so that I will have some sort of direction to what I do.

The learning curve for me will be extremely steep. All the work that I have done over the past four or five years will help with this area.

I will be especially interested in the Laptop Program and seeing this area extended and expanded.

Cheers

Greg

Secondary School

This will also be one of those big areas for me and the one thing that I need to do is make sure that I am organised. There is a great deal of responsibility with being the new Head of Years 7 and 8. Once again, have already had a meeting or two and am beginning to get my head (so to speak) around this task. It will be good to have another male on deck to help with the Year 8 and 9’s.

Cheers

Greg

Project – Term 2, 2003

The topic for this term is “Medieval” Click on this link to find the questions and the sites related to the theme.

We will begin the theme in the first week or three of second term and one of the first things that we will do is find out how much the boys know about the Medieval Topic. This will include, of course, working out questions that they want answers to.
I will be curious to also find out how much these guys know about the topic by maybe getting them to write an essay for say about twenty minutes.
I have found quite a number of websites and activities on the topic so I will add these as I find them.

If you have any questions about the topic, the questions or the links, send me an e-mail and I will hopefully provide you with an answer.

All the best.
Cheers
Mr. Partridge

Project – Term 1, 2003

The topic for this term is “Oceans” Click on this link to find the questions and the sites related to the theme.

We have begun the theme just this week and the first thing that we did was find out how much the boys knew about the Oceans and where they are in the world. This included working out questions that they wanted answers to. We came up with about 30 questions and they are included as a link to this page. Also included are a number of links to websites that provide some great and valuable information related to the Oceans topic.
Today, we began to work on the placing of the Oceans and the major Seas on a map of the World and most of them finished this.

If you have any questions about the topic, the questions or the links, send me an e-mail and I will hopefully provide you with an answer.
