Attributes represent a character's physical and mental characteristics. There are five attributes:
Each attribute has a score that is added to any skill check based on that attribute. A score of 0 represents the normal human average.
1st level characters allocate 6 points to their attribute scores. Up to 4 of these points can be allocated to one attribute. The attribute score is then modified by the character's race and feats.
Characters allocate 1 point to one attribute score every time they gain a level. At 3rd level and higher, the point must be allocated to one of the four attributes that was not allocated the point for the previous level.
