Spells

Cloud

Conjuration (Creation)
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Medium
Effect: Fog spreads in 20-ft radius, 20 ft high
Duration: 1 minute/Power point
Saving Throw: None
Spell Resistance: No
Minimum Power Points: 3

A cloud billows out from the point you designate. The cloud obscures all sight, including darkvision, beyond 5 feet. A creature within 5 feet has concealment (attacks have a 20% miss chance). Creatures farther away have total concealment (50% miss chance, and the attacker can't use sight to locate the target).
A moderate wind (11+ mph) disperses the cloud in 4 rounds. A strong wind (21+ mph) disperses the cloud in 1 round. An energy spell with the fire descriptor burns away the cloud in the area where the spell deals damage. The cloud does not function underwater.
Cloud can be made permanent. A permanent cloud dispersed by wind reforms in 10 minutes.
Heightened: You can enhance a cloud with a number of unusual properties by learning additional spells.

Enhancement Benefit Power Cost
Moving The cloud moves away from you at 10 feet per round, rolling along the surface of the ground. Figure out the cloud's new spread each round based on its new point of origin, which is 10 feet farther away from the point of origin where you cast the spell. A moving cloud cannot be made permanent. +2
Solid The cloud is so thick that any creature attempting to move through it progresses at a speed of 5 feet, regardless of its normal speed, and takes a -2 penalty on all melee attack and melee damage rolls. The vapors prevent effective ranged weapon attacks (except for magic rays and the like). A creature or object that falls into the cloud is slowed, so that each 10 feet of cloud that it passes through reduces falling damage. A creature can't take a 5-foot step while in a solid cloud. Only a severe wind (31+ mph) disperses this cloud, and it does so in 1 round. +4
Energy The cloud inflicts 8 points of energy damage (no saving throw or spell resistance) to any creature inside the cloud at the beginning of your turn each round. +8
