Enchantment (Compulsion) [Mind-Affecting]
Casting Time: 1 round
Range: Medium
Target: One creature
Duration: 1 minute/Power point
Saving Throw: Will negates
Spell Resistance: Yes
Minimum Power Points: 1
Your gestures and words fascinate one creature, causing it to stop
and stare blankly at you. The creature must be able to see or hear you, but
does not need to understand you to be fascinated.
The creature stands or sits quietly, taking no actions other than to pay attention
to you, for as long as the effect lasts. It takes a -4 penalty on skill checks
made as reactions, such as Notice checks.
Any potential threat, such as a hostile creature approaching, allows the fascinated
creature a new saving throw against the effect. Any obvious threat, such as
someone drawing a weapon, casting a spell, or aiming a ranged weapon at the
fascinated creature, automatically breaks the effect. A fascinated
creature's ally may shake it free of the spell as a standard action.
If you use this spell in combat, the target gains a +2 bonus on its initial
saving throw.
