You bring into being a mobile, hemispherical energy field that prevents the
entrance of all creatures of a particular type. Creatures with equal or less
Magic Power than the Power points expended by the caster cannot enter the area,
while creatures with more Magic Power may attempt a Will saving throw each round
they attempt to enter the area. Attempting to enter or entereing the area is
painful, and causes 4 points of damage.
This spell may be used only defensively, not aggressively. Forcing an abjuration
barrier against creatures that the spell keeps at bay collapses the barrier,
allowing them to enter the area without having to attempt a saving throw and
causing no damage.
Restriction: Choose one type of creature when you learn this
spell. This spell only works on creatures of that type.
Heighten: Each additional Power point causes an additional
2 points of damage.
