Your touch weakens your opponent. You must succeed on a melee touch attack
to strike a target, who then takes a 1d6 penalty to one ability score for the
duration of the spell unless they make a Fortitude save. This penalty can't
reduce the ability score below 1. Unlike ability damage and ability drain, the
effect ends as soon as the spell's duration expires.
Restriction: Choose one ability when you learn this spell.
This spell only weakens that ability.
Heightened: You must expend 1 Power point to cast this spell
before you can heighten it or enhance it with metamagic feats. Each Power point
after the first increases the duration by 1 minute, and each additional 2 Power
points increases the penalty to one ability score by 1d6.
For 5 Power Points the spell can cause 1d6 ability damage instead of an ability
penalty. The spell duration becomes instantaneous. Ability damage can reduce
an ability score to 0, and is healed at the rate of 1 point every 24 hours.
Each additional 4 Power points increases the ability damage by 1d6.
For 9 Power Points the spell can cause 1d6 ability drain instead of ability
damage or an ability penalty. The spell duration becomes instantaneous. Ability
drain can reduce an ability score to 0 and does not heal naturally (it can be
healed using magic). Each additional 6 Power points increases the ability drain
by 1d6.
