Rogue (PHB)
A skilled trickster and scout who wins battles through stealth and subterfuge.
Description
Rogues can have little in common with each other, but all are versatile, adaptable
and resourceful individuals with a broad array of skills.
Game Rule Information
- Armour and Weapon Proficiency: rogues are proficient with
all simple weapons plus the rapier, sap and shortsword.
- Class Abilities: rogues do not automatically gain evasion
at 2nd level, uncanny dodge at 4th level, and improved uncanny dodge at 8th
level.
- Camouflage: at 6th level, the rogue is sufficiently skilled
at blending in to the background that they can attempt to hide even when there
is no cover or concealment. However, they cannot hide from someone who is
observing them.
- Evasion: rogues may gain Evasion as a special ability
at 2nd class level. If the rogue already has the Evasion special ability and
is 11th character level or higher, they may gain Improved Evasion.
- Special Abilities: the rogue gets a special ability at
2nd level, 4th level, and every three levels thereafter. These special abilities
must be drawn from the following list:
- Crippling Strike (prerequisite: 10 rogue levels)
- Defensive Roll (prerequisite: 10 rogue levels)
- Hide in Plain Sight (prerequisite: 10 rogue levels)
- Evasion (prerequisite: 2 rogue levels)
- Improved Evasion (prerequisite: 10 rogue levels)
- Opportunist (prerequisite: 10 rogue levels)
- Skill Mastery (prerequisite: 10 rogue levels)
- Slippery Mind (prerequisite: 10 rogue levels)
- Uncanny Dodge (prerequisite: 4 rogue levels or a combination of rogue
and berserker levels with BAB +2)
- Improved Uncanny Dodge (prerequisite: 7 rogue levels or a combination
of rogue and berserker levels with BAB +5)
- any other feat
