4 June - Dancing in the Street - Dance on

As you can see some great dancing, good music and some awesome outfits!!! But very hard on the feet dancing on polished pebbles. You may recognise Mick and Wanda and Graeme from Perth.

Corn Liquor, Atomic Hi Tones, Wildfire Willy & the Ramblers, Sure Shots, John Lewis and Deke Dickerson. Wildfire Willy & the Ramblers stole the show. The dancers stopped dancing just to watch their awesome antics and listen to the great music. Watch the video.

Marilyn and Ashely made a great first appearance at "The Worlds" winning "Best Dressed" and doing well in a number of other categories.

Good band. Plenty of great dancers. The place was rocking all afternoon!

Blue Denim a great Rockabilly Band were playing on one of the street stages.

WA visitors to WinterSun.

 

The WinterSun Dance Party featured Dean Z as '56 Elvis and Buddy Holly, Bobby Brookes Hamilton as Little Richard, and Lance Lipinsky as Jerry Lee Lewis. Rates among the best night's out. Lance is totally incredible on piano! All the performers were also great entertainers, involving and wowing the audience. Great night out.

Jade Hurley was most entertaining, the Allstars did some great stuff including an awesome John Foggerty medley and Johnny Tillotson was very special and succeeded in  enchanting, in particular, the women in the audience with his often sad love songs.

 The Girls visited the Rockabilly hairdresser and came out with entirely new looks.

Marilyn did her own period hair style and wore a new dress from the Wintersun markets and looked awesome! Ashley looked great as usual (despite not visiting the Rockabilly hairdresser).

Best of Wintersun definitely lived up to its name - but the event was definitely topped by Dean Z, Lance Lipinski and Bobby Brookes Hamilton.

The audience sat through light rain, showers and torrential downpour to hear the music. Not one person left. The performance was riveting! No one was disappointed and all accepted it with good grace when the final act Phil Haley and his Comments cancelled.

We were all appreciative that Bobby, Lance and Dean went on in the horrendous and dangerous conditions and performed with their usual exuberance. See the video clip below.

After a bit of persuasion, Lance Lipinski (Jerry Lee Lewis) promises to do a show in WA in October.
