Somme Battle Scene

Here is a composition and colour study of my first Somme painting. The scene is the breakthrough at Hamel by the Australian's. I will add another two tanks in the background and the Australian soldiers. The Germans in the foreground are on the drawingboard and will be added next.

Below is my latest aviation WIP, a scene depicting a Sopwith Camel flown by Captain Arthur Cobby of 4 AFC,  near Wattignies, France, on the 4th September 1918.
