The Public Policy Assessment Society Inc (PPAS) is an incorporated association whose purpose is to improve public policy. Founded in 1990, there are members in NSW, Victoria, Queensland, SA, WA and ACT. The Society is not party political, and is entirely self funding. Its approach is broadly consumer oriented.
The Society makes assessments of policy issues from time to time, and releases independent reports. It takes a major interest in matters on which governments and other public bodies engage in formal public consultation.
