Oz21:
Australia's Cultural Dreaming--the title animation.
This
is a Quicktime 3 movie that uses the Sorenson CODEC to produce high
quality images for web delivery. In addition a sprite track is used
to provide a constant background, allowing smaller dimensions for the
animation sequence. This strategy provides a moderate reduction in file
size, while the quality of the animated portion is significantly better.
The
CDROM version is a Director movie which is 640x480 pixels in dimension.
The graphics are 256 colour, optimised palette images, so the Director
movie occupies 2MBytes.
The
concept and artwork was created by Dan Greene. The assembling of the
original animation in Macromedia Director was performed by Richard Rothwell.
Project conceived by Kitty Vigo and Josie Arnold.
