A CDROM resource for courses in "Popular Culture", "Media Studies", "Aboriginal Studies" and "Science Technolgy and Society".

Educational Multimedia

Faraday R&D's multimedia projects have been predominantly in the low cost educational area, although we would be delighted to accept more commercially-oriented projects.
We possess some skills in the area of instructional design and are prepared to make suggestions to improve the outcome of an educational project. However, generally we implement the client's requirements as sympathetically as possible.
Our services are predominantly in the technical areas including:
2D computer graphics.
3D modelling and rendering.
Graphics post-processing.
Digital video and sound (Quicktime).
Authoring (assembling and composing media interaction) and programming.
Testing.
Installer creation.
CDROM master preparation.

Our largest project was "Oz21: Australia's Cultural Dreaming". A trial Javascript animation for a related web site can be viewed in different sizes and Gammas: 100%/Gamma=0.6, 70%/Gamma=0.6, 100%/Gamma=0.8, 70%/Gamma=0.8.
Our current project is to develop a computer-aided instruction/simulation exercise in the field of Network Engineering. The aim of this project is to teach students the art of network optimisation, within the constaints of cost and relaiblity. This exercise will be delivered via the web and will use Macromedia's Shockwave for the network simulator. The student's welcome page and the administrator's page are the two main entrances to this project site.
