Head along to the 2high Arts Festival at The Powerhouse for a hit of poetry this weekend. Ryan Douglas will be reading Mishaps on the Lingual Dance Floor and Fiona Privitera will be staging a performance titled Moretta.

KURILPA POETS

Kurilpa Poets have a NEW home base at the Kurilpa Centre, 174 Boundary Street, West End, 4101. It is located across and up the road from the Coffee Club, and next door to the West End Library. Times for the event will remain as they have been throughout the year: Arrive 1.45pm for a 2pm Start - Get your tea and coffee and a chair and make sure you have signed into the open mic sessions if you wish to present your poetry.
2-2.45pm Open mic sessions for everyone to have the opportunity to read their poetry, or song
3-3.20pm - Feature Poet Session
3.20-4.30pm - Open mic sessions continue until 4.30pm

IN FLIGHT

This unique performance art theatre piece exploring the heights of psychological terror and QLD's hidden aviation history is set to take off again following a great response from passengers at this years Brisbane Writers Festival. Hosted by performance poets Ghostboy & Pascalle Burton (with in-flight entertainment from The Stress of Leisure http://www.myspace.com/thestressofleisure the show arrives at The Judith Wright Centre Shopfront Fri 4th December 8:30pm. PANTOMIMES

At the L'Academie on St Pauls Terrace, Spring Hill. $30 per person, includes a wonderful 3 course meal, and parking! Belly dancers, Poets, Performers, Songs and Skits. Even if you have friends and family who don't perform but would like a wonderful night out, why not come along and support the event. Limited seating, and it will be a top night not to miss. The MC for the night is Wally Finch (Bush Poet) aka Wally the Bear...Arrive 6.30pm. for a 7pm start. Finishes approx 10pm. Don't forget your parking is included!

WOODFORD FOLK FESTIVAL

WordFood returns for the 4th year to the Woodford Folk Festival hosted by Ghostboy.
