The Water/Mud Buffaloes Society was established around 1995 (no one is exactly sure) by a small band of blokes who worked in a five star hotel which shall remain nameless.
The general idea at the time was to create a smoke screen so that the boys could go out & get shitfaced without fear of the consequences. Over the years the club has expanded on this simple yet integral philosophy with great success, so much so that Wives & Partners actively encourage the Buffaloes to wallow more often!
Our members come from all facets of industry & commerce these days, but all share a real desire to enjoy the finer things in life.

Further to this senior herd members founded The Buffalo Blues Band in 2004, who later evolved into "The Buffaloes". The Band can currently be found playing selected festivals & gigs in & around Adelaide.

What does it take to be a Buffalo?
1.A natural thirst for fine wine, spirits & beers.
2. A healthy appetite for meat in large quantities.
3. A solid understanding of all codes of football, cricket, golf & Motor racing.
4. An active interest or willingness to take up hunting or fishing.
5.The confidence to execute silly handshakes in a public forum.
6. Sound knowledge of Australian Cinema & Literature.
7. Reliability in obtaining Pettycoat Passouts at the drop of a hat.
8. A passion for music in its many forms.
9. A sick sense of humour.
10. The ability to bring a drunken rabble to order.
