The Bert's Hobbies Team are family, we are Aussie Mates who have each weathered a storm or two along life's journey but each still enjoy the adventure.

Our Range and Web have grown over time, some have expressed difficulty in navigation. 

Each craft has its own page. For a more detailed description of a craft, click on any of the above rotating images and you will be taken to that page. You may select any craft from the drop down menu to the left under Splinter Boats, "The Selection".

Once there, should you require a closer look at the boat illustrated to the right, under photography, click on that image. To see the next image of that craft, click on the next thumbnail. Use the up and down arrows to scroll. Remember to close your last choice or the image will remain on your tool bar.

                                                                                                         What we do?

Our all timber Splinter model boats include.   A Mono Hull Fast Electric Craft.   Small, Medium and Large Pleasure Cruisers.   All Weather Tugs that can convert to Trawlers.   Trawler Conversion Kits.  Frigates, Cruisers and Iowa Class Battleships.   Patrol Boats.   Class 12 Yachts.   A fully operational Three Masted Square Rigger with a canopy of 18 sails that can be struck and set.     There is a  Hoverwing under construction. It's classified as a boat. This little critter is capable of 170kph..

 Now if any or all of that stirs a little interest, you may care to spend a bit more time to find another critter called Thumpa?    

Splinter boats are built to a standard that will give years of pleasure. They are all hand made and covered by a written 30 day Warranty from date of receipt. If you are looking for a fully equipped model boat that has been bench and water tested, ready to sail with a minimum of fuss, we may be able to assist.

When the Manager and time permits, we build all timber  Dolls Houses, Fixtures and Furniture. 

Our B.B. Classic Range of Dolls Houses  may be ordered in any combination of readiness you require. Ready for assembly and finishing. Finished and supplied fully fitted, furnished, illuminated and prepared ready for assembly and immediate occupation. 

They can be supplied in keeping with the dimensions as nominated at the B. B. Dolls House Page or, 2/3 or, 1/2  that size. 
 
As well as the standard fixtures and fittings other optional extras are available for our Dolls Houses. There  is a combination Ding Dong and Westminster front door chime that you may consider. 

The B.B. Classic Range is just a little more than a Dolls House, the full size house can convert to a cubby house. Based on design, they are all wall friendly, they can all be used as a writing slope or painting easel as well.

We also find time to build a Three Level Parking Station / Garage that accommodates an assortment of cars. That's some of what the Bert's Hobbies Team turn their hands to, here in The Down Under. 

Our Three Level Parking Station / Petrol Station is available in four options, painted or unpainted. Motor or hand operated vehicle lift. A request for a reduction or addition in size is a matter for negotiation. 
      
All options come with connected gravity vehicle ramps from third to ground level. Vehicle lift from first to third level. Twin petrol pumps. Stainless steel boom gate and safety fence.

With regards to the service offered for Model Trains and associated equipment. We are about to withdraw some, if not all services based on time available and the Teams present direction.

Subject to that time and prior consultation, we may  repair and rewind some model train motors, point and signal  armatures. We reserve the right to determine what is repairable and what is not.
 
We do not stock parts or rolling stock. While we have been known to manufacture one of, special train parts, it's not something we are keen about.

If you think we can be of help with any of the above, the Bert's Hobbies Team would be happy to share our experiences and understanding of such matters but we stress, "we are not experts". Over the past fifteen years we have met a few that are and we will share their advice and knowledge gained, if asked.
