Download His Grepship

1)  The basic package:

This package (approx 2mb) contains all you need to get up and running with His Grepship.  It contains the main executable, the Help file, and the built-in editor.  See the installation notes for a full list of files.  This is a fully functional program.  From when you first use it, you have 30 days to evaluate it.  You can then either uninstall it or purchase it from this web site.  If you do not purchase it, it will disable itself after 30 days.

Note if you are running Windows 95 or NT, Internet Explorer v4 (or later) should be installed on your PC, or the Help might not work.

The 3rd-party editor DLLs are separate, and can be downloaded from the links at the bottom of this page.

Installation routine

  1. Read the installation notes.  This is a text file, InstallationNotes.txt which also comes with the basic download package.

  2. Click on the 'Download His Grepship' link or button below.  You will be prompted to open the resulting file, or to save it to your PC.  Choose save, and when prompted, specify a download directory (not necessarily the installation directory).

  3. Run the executable.  It is self-extracting, meaning it will prompt you for an installation directory (it defaults to C:\Program Files\His Nerdship\His Grepship) and install all its contents into that directory.  It is best to install all related files into the same directory, and this directory should be specific to His Grepship.

  4. You can now run His Grepship.

  5. Should you wish to uninstall His Grepship, run the program HGUninst.exe, or select Uninstall from the Start menu.
