About Chris's Road racing career, so far.

To conserve the tyres Chris tries to qualify in 3-4 laps max, every
track Chris visits this year is new to him so he has to learn the
track, change the bike set up and qualify within a few laps, there is one 20 minute timed practised on Friday before qualifying and that's it.

After each session we make changes to the bikes suspension to chase a better set up and make the bike more user friendly on the tyres, so everytime out on the track Chris is faster than the previous time.

So far this year Chris has managed to go under the existing lap record at every track except Wanneroo in W.Aust.

Race 1 Vic Titles Broadford. Pole s/stock 3 wins from 3 starts and 3rd out of supersport. New s/stock lap record

Race 2 World Superbike round at P/Island.Pole and 3 wins from 3 starts.

Race 3 First Round Aust Titles at Eastern Creek. Qaul 2nd 2 wins and 3rd place and 15 point lead in Championship.

Race 4 Second Round Vic titles Winton. Pole and 2 wins including outright supersport wins and a 3rd place.

Race 5
Stars of Tomorrow race at P/Island riding Adam Krusty Fergusson's factory superbike, Chris battled with the bike set up and had only Friday practice to try and stop a nasty head shake from the bike when exciting the faster corners, Chris qualified in 2nd with 1.39 sec lap and won Saturdays dry Race, Sunday morning had Chris having his first ride in the wet and early in the session after being the fastest on track Chris lost the front at the "hay shed" and walked away unhurt and ready to push a bit faster to make up for his mistake. The first wet race Chris made some small mistakes and had to settle for 2nd but made the fastest lap, in the main Stars race Chris was under pressure from all sides and was sitting unhappily in 5th place with the leader 8 seconds clear within 2 laps Chris had pegged back the leader to only
1 second gap and posted his fastest lap on the last lap and came second by only 1 tenth of a second. Chris posted a 1.49 sec lap and pouring rain this would have been good enough for 3 row start in the dry.

Race 6 Aust  Titles at Wanneroo. Qual 6th finished 5th and two 2nds and lead the last race until the last corner.

Race 7 Third Round Aust Titles Mallala. Qual 2nd and finished 5th and two 2nds again he lead the last race until the last corner.
Chris is now 2nd in the title 6 points behind the leader and 40 points clear of 3rd
From here we head to Qld for the next round and hopefully consolidate his position further.

Outline of Superstock class rules.

1. Mildly modified bikes, allowed only a "slip on" muffler, fork
springs, shock spring and revalving of suspension.

 2. Controlled tyre, this year is a Pirelli Diablo Corsa, which is
basically and good road/ride day tyre, the compound chosen is the
hardest one available and that's it, you have one set from Friday
qualifying until the last race Sunday. If there was a choice you
wouldn't choose this tyre to race on.

3.No engine mods or tuning mods at all.
