Adelaide 2000

"We want Quo", "we want Quo", "we want Quo". Sound familiar? Yes, it does to me. How do you come back down to earth after seeing them. Quo gave us one hell of a fabulous time. You never leave their gigs on a downer unless it's the last one you see for a long time. Even then you can't help but be so high on emotion from being there listening to the best band in the world who give us whatever we want. Quo have been and gone, they rocked our shores once more and have left so many fans with great memories. I would like to tell you all about the tour, Famous In The Last Century, from how we saw it.
I took my sister to the Sydney record signing and gig and she was so thrilled to meet the band that she still talks about it. They were so good to all their fans, nothing was too much for them.
We, my two Sisters of Quo and myself, started our mini Rocking All Over Australia tour to follow our Quo. We did five gigs starting in Newcastle. We were so pleased to see Quo and it really hit us, there they were on stage and we were rocking, we didn't stop all night. We were lucky enough, with some other fans, to meet them after the gig and they gave every fan who waited to see them time to say hello, take photos etc. They made so many of us happy. If someone had told me 26 years ago, when I first became a Quo fan that I would get to meet them, talk to them, for them to remember who we are and still be lucky enough to rock with them in the year 2000, I wouldn't have believed them. It's been a dream come true.
We first met them in 1997 and they knew us from both tours passed, which meant a lot to us. Sadly, we never got to say goodbye to Jeff. We did meet Matt a lovely guy, and Andy also was not able to come to Oz this year. We did miss him but Paul Hirsh came out with Quo and we were lucky enough to meet with him in Wollongong. He was the nicest guy, he has made a lot of new fans in Australia. Then there's our darling Rhino, he is always so pleased to see us fans. He will always stop and have a chat, he's a great guy. Of course there are Rick and Francis, what can I say. We are so lucky that they are our band. They make us all feel we are united, band and fans as one. We all enjoyed the set especially 4500 Times, Dirty Water, Twenty Wild Horses and of course Rick's version of Living Doll. Like I said before, we did five gigs. Newcastle, Sydney, Wollongong, Melbourne and Adelaide. Around two weeks of travelling and it was all worth it. Next time we want to do more gigs. Status Quo are the best band in the world and we'll be fans forever. Once a Quo fan always a Quo fan.

From one happy fan.
