Edie & her family are on this big white boat/launch. (I have a storeroom/cupboard on board, so it’s like I have some connection/part to play with this boat (ministry) Edie & her family are at the stern/back of the boat. Hennie & her on the left & her boys a little way away on the right (direction from the bow of the boat). Eddie is very busy fishing while Hennie stands attentively close-by & at hand to help her bait her up etc.
She turns her head without stopping fishing & calls out to me to join her & get ‘cracking’ i.e. Fishing. There’s no time for formalities, an embrace, or reminisce. I watch as she hauls a fish in & Hennie baits her up with a big, fat, pink prawn. I’m amazed that they’re using prawns. Only the best will do!
Smiling I go to the cupboard & retrieve my fishing rod. I think to myself ‘I never knew Edie fished? & ‘I suppose she thinks the same about me?’ I’m amused that we both like the same thing without knowing it. I position myself at the stern ready to cast my line but I notice the boat is going too fast. I tell Edie to slow down as we’ll catch more fish. I suggest we drift & allow the current to take our line & the fish will come to us. We don’t need to go in search/chase them.
After a while I notice we’ve drifted quite a bit & too close to the cliffs. Edie starts the boat & we start heading out the bay towards the sea. I begin to direct & guide her & she steers & drives the boat.
I notice a brown line in the water ahead & warn her about a sandbar. She successfully steers clear of it. Then I notice some water churning, & warn her against some rocks hidden from sight just under the water. (I can’t remember this clearly but I warned her about something nuclear (missile) under the water as well!) Well she maneuvers the boat well & avoids all these dangers.
Just as she’s come through this & starts to relax a little, I notice the boat is in a dangerous position as big waves roll in & threaten to hit it broadside. It’s a dangerous situation & we have to act quickly. I shout to her to turn the boat & steer it directly into the path of the oncoming waves. If not, we would surely capsize. Holding tight & bracing ourselves, we face these threatening waves head-on & although it is a bumpy ride of ups & downs, we cut through the waves & out past the breakers….(End of dream)
** This dream may be showing how Edie was or will be in control of the family and family ministry as interpreted (Edie in control of the boat and doing the fishing with your help). The implication is that you were incapacitated from doing strenuous things presumably because of your health.
The dreamer may represent the Holy Spirit or himself. The former fits better as the family is passionately given to the direct teaching and leading of the Spirit (Edie calling out to the dreamer and only the best will do with big, fat, pink prawns).
The dream is showing how the Holy Spirit will help direct the family and ministry through many difficulties (cliff, sand bar, rocks and waves). Something nuclear (missile) under the water may be referring to your health situation. Here, the Holy Spirit will also help and direct through threatening waves to safety beyond the breakers.
