Subject: Straight Up

From: HOWARD K SCHMIDT <schmih71daystarbigplanet.com>
Paula,
I hope you're well and I thank you for your recent message and I thank
the Lord for this ministry and community. I wanted to share with you a
small dream that I had last night. It may or may not be suitable for
distribution, but I wanted to share it with you and see if you have a
comment.
Background. As you know, I've been studying a lot on the origins of our
faith, especially writings from the first through fifth centuries. Wow,
talk about a dynamic time! Much that was written then was polemic
against various competing philosophies and 'forms' of Christianity. A
substantial fraction of the output of the 'heresiologists' was directed
against the gnostics - who were rather diffuse, and not as monolithic as
one would suppose from going over the proto-Orthodox writings. For the
sake of intellectual completeness, I just finished reviewing the 'Nag
Hammadi Library' writings.
In brief, the big gnostic idea is that there is a body of 'secret
knowledge' that leads to salvation. A person had to be one of their
'elect' to get it, and they claimed authenticity by a combination of
ancient authorities as well as revelation from Christ and the Apostles.
In short, all the 'standard means' of religious 'legitimacy'. Also,
they had a novel view of the origin of the world and mankind - it's
reads very like the old Greek pantheon of gods. Oh boy, did the
gnostics have a complicated and confusing theology/cosmology! And about
99% of it is directly opposed to the Orthodox view, so it's easy to see
why the early Church Fathers spent so much time trying to put it (and
other schools of thought) down, excommunicating the promoters and
destroying their books. It's odd, but seems very true to me, that those
early conflicts resulted in the codification of doctrines that we now
know as the Roman Catholic Church. And almost any clause that you pick
out of, say, the Nicene Creed, is a direct result of one of those early
conflicts, and represents a capsule of the Orthodox viewpoint. So much
of that early conflict is really still relevant today.
So, last night I prayed before going to bed to be shown the truth of the
matter via dream. I know that I had many dreams last night, but one
vignette stands out clearly in both memory and perception. It was very
short, but came with certain 'knowingnesses' that help explain it. I
was in some sort of a book store or computer place and walking down an
aisle. I noticed to my right a large display case for a new publication
of some sort. I looked and saw a display for a new internet browser
(funny, but in many of my dreams the Lord uses internet anaolgies....).
Across the top of each software box was the name of the browser printed
in easy-to-read print - "STRAIGHT UP". At first, I thought (in the
dream), 'how strange that someone would try to launch a new browser'. I
mean, to do that for real would be pretty silly as a business
proposition. Explorer and Netscape both have good, affordable products,
and it would take a huge investment to come up with something better, or
even comparable. And yet, as I pondered these ideas in the dream, I
'knew' that the group that published this new way to 'connect' had
plenty of backing and the power to provide a better solution. The dream
ended as I picked up a box and examined it more closely.
MY INTERPRETATION: From this I would conclude that my thoughts on the
question of Roman Orthodox vs. Gnostic was misguided from the start. I
note that this was my mental question, but my specific prayer request
was to learn the truth of the matter (figuring that limiting the answer
to an either/or selection might not allow for the real answer to
appear). In this symbol-set the MS Explorer/Netscape alternative would
represent the Orthodox/Gnostic choice. The answer does *not* address
which one is better - or right - or wrong (that's still open), but
simply says that there is a new (and probably better) third solution -
and that is to go direct - "straight up". I'd note that historically in
both of the Orthodox and gnostic traditions there are barriers placed
between individuals and the Godhead - be it the clergy or secrecy or
whatever. In gnosticism, if I can collect all of their various strains
into one group (a stretch), there was an obvious need to be one of the
'elect' and to get initiated into secret knowledge by one of the elect.
In the midaeval Church the clergy usually stood between the individual
and salvation - limited access to the eucharist, stiff
confession/pennance requirements and the like. This changed
dramatically with the reformation; I do not know the details of
salvation doctrine within the Roman Catholic Church at this point, but
assume it to be much more open than, say, 500 years ago. In short, I'd
conclude the instruction here is not to worry too much about the old
arguments, but to straight to the source individually - straight to God,
straight to Jesus and straight to the Holy Spirit. What a relief!
Well, Paula, I'd welcome your thoughts on this dream. It's long on
circumstance and short on dream, but it's a simple message, it seems. I
praise the Lord, and thank you again for your ministry; it has certainly
helped me in going 'straight up'.
In Christ,
Howard

Hello! My name is mechelle and i was wondering if you could help me with a
dream. It is pretty small.
I was with my mother in our kitchen/dinning room and she told me we were
all out of olives but there is a tree out back and I could have as many
olives as I would like.
End of Dream
Could you please help try to understand this.......
Thank You
God Bless!!
COMMENT BY PAULA
This would be a fairly recent dream as the Lord has been promising a great time of enlightenment from the scriptures and from dreams and visions concerning the things of the kingdom. The prophetic biblical language for this includes the abundant supply of wheat, corn, oil and wine as in Joel 2:21-24. The beginning of a major fulfillment of this is perhaps already taking place as we enter into the next century.
Joel 2:22 is perhaps where your particular dream fits. God's provision of the fruitful and ripe olive tree in the Holy Spirit's availability for teaching and enlightenment (food/kitchen/dining room) is here now. This is the message of instruction and encouragement in this dream. Your dream is quite specific for the Church in that the olive tree is often representative of Israel in the Bible. God's is speaking abundantly in dreams instructing, warning and encouraging folks to come and be directly taught and led of the Spirit!

Re D&V List No.312 IF WE DO NOT LIVE UP TO OUR CALLING, OR SPECIAL OBLIGATION, TO BE SEPARATE AND HOLY UNTO GOD, WE MAY BE, IN THE NAZARITE EQUIVALENT, DEFILED. Great insight from Cheryl Bullard.
Subject: Possible clarification of dream on D&V 312
President Clinton is the leader or head of America and the shaving of his head until it bleeds represents a violent attack against the U.S. It will be as the betrayal against Samson when his strength was stripped from him by the shaving of his head (Judges 16). From: Cheryl Bullard <cbulla01daystarsprynet.com>
Dear Pastor Cavu and Daystar family,
On the dream by Kari on D&V 312 (Clinton having his head shaved), there
is possibly some further clarification that wasn't fully touched on in
the interpretation.
Specifically, it seems the entire dream is directed to the Churches of
America, rather than just America in general. As was pointed out with
her hearing the words spoken to the Laodicean church, there may be
fellow Christians who will be left here during the tribulation. In line
with that, I have some info that, strangely enough, I feel the Spirit
directed me to just a day earlier from receiving D&V 312. Notice the
connection to Samson, the Nazarite. When you look at the Nazarite vows,
a strange similarity to the calling in a Christian's life begins to take
shape. I have included here the info I got from this website, with my
thoughts interspersed: http://www.piney.com/EdersheimTOC.html ("The
Temple—Its Ministry and Services as they were at the time of Christ" ).
-----
The Nazarite Vow
1. The law concerning the Nazarite vow (Numbers 6) seems to imply, that
it had been an institution already existing at the time of Moses, which
was only further defined and regulated by him. The name, as well as its
SPECIAL OBLIGATIONS, indicate its higher bearing. For the term Nasir is
evidently derived from nazar, TO SEPARATE, and 'the vow of a Nazarite'
was to SEPARATE himself unto Jehovah (Numbers 6:2). Hence the Nazarite
was 'HOLY unto Jehovah' (Numbers 6:8). In the sense of separation the
term Nasir was applied to Joseph (Genesis 44:26; comp. Deuteronomy
32:16), and so the root is frequently used. But, besides SEPARATION and
HOLINESS, we have also here the idea of ROYAL PRIESTHOOD, since the word
Nezer is applied to 'the holy crown upon the mitre' of the HIGH-PRIEST
(Exodus 29:6; 34:30; Leviticus 8:9), and 'the crown of the anointing
oil' (Leviticus 21:12), as also, in a secondary sense, to the royal
crown (2 Samuel 1:10; 2 Kings 11:12; Zechariah 9:16).
**[ME: Those who have accepted Christ (vow), have a 'special
obligation' to be 'separate' and 'holy' unto God. The 'priesthood'
connections fits nicely with what we will be doing in the millenial
kingdom; see Rev. 1:5,6; Rev. 5:9,10; Rev. 20:6. In the context of
Kari's dream, you could say that the majority of churches are 'lukewarm'
because of their failure to be 'separate' and 'holy' unto God.]
We have, therefore, in the Nazarite, the three ideas of separation,
holiness, and the crown of the royal priesthood, all closely connected.
With this agree the threefold obligations incumbent on a Nazarite. He
was to be not only a priest, but one in a higher and more intense sense,
since he became such by 'personal consecration' instead of by mere
bodily descent. If the priest was to abstain from wine during his actual
ministration in the sanctuary, the Nazarite must during the whole period
of his vow refrain from all that belongs to the fruit of the vine, 'from
the kernels even to the husk' (Num 6:3,4). a priest was to avoid all
defilement from the dead, except in the case of his nearest relatives,
but the Nazarite, LIKE THE HIGH-PRIEST (Leviticus 21:11), was to ignore
in that respect EVEN FATHER AND MOTHER, BROTHER AND SISTER (Numbers 6:7).
**[ME: Note this similarity: "He who loves father or mother more than
me is NOT WORTHY of me; and he who loves son or daughter more than me is
NOT WORTHY of me; and he who does not take up his cross and follow me is NOT WORTHY of me." Matt. 10:37. In Kari's dream, we see the "father",
"mother" and "daughter" depicted}.
...Nay more, if unwittingly he had become so defiled, the time of his
vow which had already elapsed was to count for nothing; after the usual
SEVEN days purification (Numbers 19:11,12), he was to CUT OFF HIS HAIR,
which, in that case, was buried, not burnt, and on the eighth day to
bring two turtle-doves, or two young pigeons, the one for a sin-, the
other for a burnt-offering, with a lamb of the first year for a
trespass-offering; after which he had to commence his Nazarite vow anew.
**[ME: If we do NOT live up to our calling, or special obligation, to be
separate and holy unto God, we may be, in the Nazarite equivalent,
defiled. Notice the purification process: SEVEN days (as in seven year
tribulation?), and to CUT OFF the hair. In Kari's dream, the fire may
symbolic of tribulation/purification, and the vile stuff rubbed in
Chelsea's leg represents the 'defilement.']
Lastly, if the high-priest wore 'the holy Nezer upon the mitre,' the
Nazarite was NOT to cut his hair, which was 'the Nezer of his God upon
his head' (Numbers 6:7). And this use of the word Nezer, as applied to
the high-priest's CROWN, as well as to the separation unto holiness of
the Nazarite, casts additional light alike upon the object of the
priesthood and the character of the Nazarite vow.
**[ME: "the Nezer of his God upon his head" -- As shown, Nezer means
TO SEPARATE. This sounds similar to the "seal of God" placed upon our
foreheads when we receive the Holy Spirit at salvation, and the 'crown'
we will receive in the kingdom].
The Mishnah Regulations According to the Mishnah (tractate Nazir), all epithets of, or allusions to, the Nazarite vow, carried its obligation. Thus if one said, 'I will
be it! or, I will be a beautiful one!'--with reference to the long
hair--or made any similar allusion, he had legally taken upon him the vow.
**[ME: if you say have made a commitment to Christ at salvation, you
have taken the equivalent of a Nazarite vow with all of its special
obligations].
I hope this helps a little and is in line with what the Spirit is saying
to the churches. I just find it a little odd that I got this Nazarite
info at the same time as receiving this D&V list.
Blessings to you all,
Cheryl Bullard

YOU HAVE BEEN AWAY FROM GETTING INVOLVED IN ANY CHURCH WORK FOR SOME TIME AND THE LORD UNDERSTANDS but now He is doing a work concerning the manifestation of more of His reality in communion etc. which He wants you to be part of. Dream by P on 15th June, 1999.
Subject: Dream of 6-15-99
Date: Tue, 22 Jun 1999 10:23:05 EDT
From: P
Circumstances around this dream consist of God pulling my husband and
I out from the church we had been attending for two and a half years…
We have been involved in the Charismatic movement for some time. But our
first concern is the love of Jesus and having God's will in our lives. With
this said, I summit this dream.
Dream of 6-15-99:
We (my husband and I and friends that were helping) were in our
house. This was not our house we are in now. This house was in the middle of
a neighborhood with paved streets. We live (in the natural) in the country
with neighbors living across fields. We were packing up everything in our
house in boxes and the rest like bookcases, tv, etc. we just put out on the
front yard. It was as if we were moving but we really weren't. I was
working in the bedroom when I could hear sirens coming to our house. I looked
out the window and saw the fire trucks pull up in front of our house.
Scene two takes place in what I would say the living room. We seem
to be taking a break We were discussing getting a baby gift for someone. My
husband, two young friends, President Clinton, myself and others that I
didn't recognize. Some of us were sitting, others standing, and I was lying
on my back on a bench like object.
I conversed with the President about his family and where they were this week-end. He said that his wife was speaking somewhere and Chelsea was home. I asked him how she liked college in Springfield.(meaning MO.). He said she loved it. She thought Springfield was the greatest and she loved the town. We were talking to him as if we had known him forever. We had respect for him but there was great openness in our conversation.
When I mentioned purchasing the baby gift for someone he came over and gave me the change he had in his pockets along with the candy and gum wrappers. He had dropped the coins on my stomach. He began to count the change which consisted of two silver dollars, some quarters, nickels, dimes and pennies. He stood over me and said, "I hope this helps". I looked up at him and said, "Thank you very much". I remember thinking he is the President, he did not have to do that. That was very nice and considerate of him. He just smiled and walked back over to his chair and sat down.
Scene three. Two firemen enter our house and come to a room where my
husband and I were. They asked if we were ready and I said, "Could you give
me a little longer?" They said, "Ok we will wait outside." I woke from the
dream.
Paula, I believe this could be a warning of some type because of the
sirens, even though I was not frightened when I heard them. I printed off
your book on Heavenly Communion so I have the meaning of some of the symbols in my dream. Thank you for help in this interpretation.
COMMENT BY PAULA
Pat, the sirens and fire trucks coming to your place to evacuate you has to do with an emergency for you to be taken away to some other place. Scene two speaks about purchasing a gift for a baby and this had the approval and encouragement of divine leadership (President Clinton). Since the baby could very well be portraying the move/work of the Spirit in 1999 that has been birthed of God, your leaving most likely has to do with divine guidance for you to now go and be part of this move of God. You have been away from getting involved in any church work for some time and the Lord understands but now He is doing a work concerning the manifestation of more of His reality in communion etc. which He wants you to be part of.
