The Visable Video Telescope™   (VVT) is a ‘Cutting Edge Technology’  tool for vision impaired people.

VVT’s attractive styling appeals to all ages, and can bring the world into focus with enhancement and magnification.

Truly a tool that goes “Beyond the Book and the Board”!!

This is a picture of the VVT. A hand-held purple/blue in colour device that strongly resembles a conventional movie camera.

VVT is battery powered and IN THE CLASSROOM can bring the whiteboard, overheads, presentations, in fact any form of written or printed curriculum, or classroom activity or demonstration, direct to the vision impaired student.

ON THE STREET

This is a picture of a young boy and girl, both using the VVT outdoors, looking over a water filled bay.

VVT can be used to read Street Signs, ‘Bus, and Train numbers, Bus, Train and Airplane Destination Boards, Walk Signs, House Numbers, Traffic Lights,  etc.,

VVT it’s truly a hand-full of independendence!!

Distant objects can zoom into view magnified and enhanced to the users requirements.

Be just a part of the crowd at the theatre or at sports events.

VVT can be used as a Stand-Alone tool, or with a click it can become a sophisticated CCTV type Reading Machine, when it is connected to the VVT Pod with the ‘Slip & Click’ easy attachment option.

This is a picture of the VVT connected with the pod. A flat screen shows an image of the doucment that the VVT is focussed on.

VVT simply Clicks into place in the Pod, and then the user has a variety of options with this remarkable digital reading machine, full colour, reverse image, enhanced image, word-stretch, etc.

VVT can be easily connected to a computer, with the VVT-CW (VVT- Computer Window) software.

This is a picutre of the VVT mounted on a mini-tripod, and connected to a lap-top comupter. The computer screen shows full screen and image of a whiteboard.

VVT and a Laptop computer enables students to easily read from the whiteboard in class, and to take ‘snapshots’ of the VVT’s image and store the ‘Snapshot’ on the laptops hard drive, to view and discus later with parents, teachers, or friends, or VVT-CW can also record and store real-time video direct from the VVT, of class experiments, projects, etc, and then replay the videos again on the computer at any time.  Of course the ‘Snapshot’s’ or Videos can be deleted from the computer like any other files.

The computer can be used for any of its usual tasks when the VVT is connected.

With VVT-CW simply tapping the space bar on the computer varies the VVT display from one third of the screen, and then the upper half of the screen, and then the lower half of the screen, and then to the full screen. Tapping the space bar again then begins going back through these options.

VVT has remarkable control of Lighting Conditions

Dim Light can be enhanced, or Glare removed with a simple click of a button.

This is a picture of a street at night. Very few details are visible, because of the dim light. This is a pricture of the same street vhen viewed with the VVT and the contrast enhanced. Many things are visible now including parked cars, the pavement, grass verge, a gate to a garden etc.

Scene One becomes Scene Two when the ‘Contrast Increase’ button is clicked.

VVT gives the ability to see clearly in the conditions that are the most difficult for many people with low vision

The VVT Mobility Kit  enables teachers and O&M Instructors to observe and monitor

what and how the student is using the VVT. A valuable instructional, and vision assessment tool.

This is a pucture of the O&M Kit showing a small back pack, with a screen, and the VVT connected.                             This is a picture of girl facing away from us. She is wearing the O&M Kit and we can see on the back pack that she is looking a a Coca Cola machine.

Standing behind the student the teacher or instructor can see clearly on the back-packs monitor just what the student is looking at, and observe how the student locates important features, or whether the student is in fact aware of the features existence.

The VVT is manufactured by the Betacom Corporation Inc’. in Canada.
