NFSDU welcomes Director of Forest's Youth Academy as guest at Inaugural AGM

NFSDU was proud to welcome Paul Hart - the Director of Nottingham Forest's Youth Academy - as special guest at its inaugural Annual General Meeting on June 24 2000. Paul was a magnificent speaker, and gave us a tremendous insight into his time with Forest initially as a player in the 1980's, and in particular the events surrounding the Nottingham Forest v Anderlecht 1985 UEFA Cup Semi Final second leg. Paul then turned his attention to his non-playing career, including his spell as manager of Chesterfield, and followed by his coaching appointments at Leeds United and Nottingham Forest. Paul told us of the birth of the Nottingham Forest Youth Academy, and the principles upon which it operates. Gareth Edds, a young Australian who is a product of the Youth Academy, was a fine example to us all of the quality footballers and individuals that the Youth Academy seeks to produce. The evening concluded with a trip to Stadium Australia to watch an NRL match between Brisbane and Canterbury, and then dinner. Paul was a delight to host as a guest, and we thank him very much for taking the time to make the trip down under. Thanks also to Nottingham Forest FC and the Official Nottingham Forest Supporters Club for your magnificent support of this trip. Thank you also to Jeremy Moffat, Joseph Finianos, and everyone else who supported the event. Your support is most appreciated.

NFSDU has finally launched an official web site.

NFSDU Announces State representatives

In an effort to promote a greater sense of relevance among the wider NFSDU membership community, state representatives have been appointed for all states included amongst the membership of Nottingham Forest Supporters Down Under. If you would like to get some events organised for your state, please get in touch with them. The current state representatives, and all other officers of NFSDU, are listed under ‘Committee’.
