Hanley BIOGRAPHY:
Bob Hanley is one of Newcastle's most experienced, sought after and versatile
performers.
Individually successful, he joined forces in early 1990 with
Chris Hanley to form a duo, winning the prestigious Newcastle Star Professional
Music Awards for the "Best Variety Duo" in September 1990.
He currently
works as a solo artist and is a menber of 'Slim Jim and the City Slickers.'
He does a little duo work as well in 'Rich and Famous'.
Bob has
achieved outstanding success as a solo performer over the years, both nationally
and overseas.
His first rock outfit was
known as 'Bluegrass'. He also featured in other premier Newcastle bands
such as 'Katch', 'Slippery When Wet' and the 'Bob Hanley Band'.
He has worked in Australia and overseas. He has been a support for bands such
as 'L.R.B', 'Dragon' and 'Cold Chisel' and shared the bill with
overseas artists such as 'Chris Rea' and 'Leo Sayer'.
His outstanding voice enables him to encompass a wide variety of musical styles
and his dedication to musical perfection sees him spending many hours up-dating
his repertoire, equipment and presentation.
Instrumentally, he plays rhythm
and lead guitar with backing supplied by "state of the art" digital
computers.
This sought after soloist works the Newcastle, Bay and Central
Coast Club circuit and is an extremely popular choice for weddings and private
