Quickly send files to the Toppy using Window's "Send To"
Version 5.1.1 - Page updated 11/Nov/2006

 CONTENTS
WHAT DOES IT DO?
It
provides a quick and easy way to upload TAPs and their ini files to the Toppy with just a couple of mouse
clicks. You just select the files you want to upload and select "Send2Toppy" from
Send To in Window's right-click context menu. Setup is as simple as unzipping the zip file and
running setup.exe. When you click on Send2Toppy you then have a choice of sending the files to "Auto
Start" or "ProgramFiles". You can actually send files of any file type to "Auto Start" or
"ProgramFiles".
Note: There is a limit of 9 files that can be sent each time. And you can
only send files to one directory at a time. Though in dual mode you can send the
same file(s) to the same directory on 2 Toppy's at once.
SUPPORTS USB, ICEBOX, FTP and User Configured TRANSFERS.
Also supports
uploading to two toppys at once - as long as only one uses USB mode. Allows for
quick switching between USB and FTP etc. which can also be used to selectively
upload to a specific Toppy if you have two. All modes store their
own settings - which makes it possible to setup Mode-1 for your Icebox's
Ethernet IP and Mode-2 for your Icebox's Wireless IP etc. Or setup each
Mode for a different Toppy. External mode (for
advanced users) can be configured to
transfer by any means you desire by using the simple batch files provided. There are two External mode
batch files - 1 for Mode-1 and one for Mode-2.
HOW IS THIS BETTER THAN USING ALTAIR?
Basically it's just a big convenience boost.
Instead of going
through all the necessary menus to find and start Altair, then making sure
Altair is showing the correct toppy folder, and changing to the correct folder
if it wasn't, then finding the folder on the PC side of Altair that the tap is
in, and then pressing the < button, and then closing Altair.
If you chose to associate
taps and tgd files with Send2-Toppy during installation you can also use
Send2-Toppy by either double-clicking on selected tap(s) or tgd file(s), or by
right-clicking and selecting Transfer (Transfer is the default, so you can just
press Enter).
Also, if you download a TAP/MP3
etc from the
internet and unzip it you are already in the directory with the file you want upload. You'd then
right-click on the file, select "Send2-Toppy" and then click on the
destination button.
Three mouse clicks and it's done (it closes itself after the upload).
 HOW TO USE:
Select the files that you want to upload to
the Toppy's ProgramFiles or Auto Start directories.
Then right-click on one of the highlighted files and select "Send To" and click on
Send2Toppy.
Now press either the "Auto Start" or "ProgramFiles" buttons to send the selected files
to the selected directory. If you press "Enter" on the keyboard instead of pressing a button the
files will be sent to "Auto Start". Or you can click on the window's red X to cancel the
transfer.
TIP: You can even upload a TAP to the Toppy
when downloading:
1) Download the TAP zip file.

2) Click on the download link again.
3) But instead of downloading click on save-as.
4) Now right-click on the zip file you just downloaded and unzip it.
5) In the "save as type" box select "all files".
6) Right-click on the TAP you just unzipped.
7) And now Select Send2-Toppy.
