Birds of Tin were an interesting part of the Brisbane Punk scene which developed in the late 1970's and early 1980's. They played at every major venue at one time or another. An unusual feature of their sound was the use of acoustic percussion instruments as well as the regular rock instruments. After this band finally wound up, the members went on to play in several other projects. Peter Loveday went to the UK with his new band Antic Frantic for a few years. He now lives in Spain where he still performs. He's toured Brisbane in 2004 and 2007. Michael Elliott has performed with many bands in Brisbane in the years since. |
