Ironing Music EP Cover Ironing Music were a very early electro band in Brisbane.

Larry and Shelley really tried everything they could with this effort to become rock stars. Practices with Ursula at their house would often go all weekend!

It was pretty hard for any new band to get work in some venues. It only took a little effort to hire a local hall for a night.

Ironing Music were able to finance a self-produced recording on vinyl and a TV Video of "Shopping Bag Women". The video was even played on Countdown, Sounds, and other music shows on TV.

The vinyl 12" EP "Shopping Bag Women" came in at Number 89 on the 1984 4ZZZ Hot 100, between "Christine" by Souxsie and The Banshees and "Ghost Ships" by The Saints.

Unfortunately success eluded yet another excellent combination of talents.
