UpNorth Music
is a branch of
Uptown Music
on the Atherton Tableland inland from Cairns.
For twenty years Uptown
Music has specialized
in serving the needs of musicians scattered
across the Cape York Peninsula. Over the
years, we've been increasing the frequency
of our road trips bringing musical gear
and services to outback towns. UpNorth
Music is a new
project to create a resource network for
the musicians of Cape York Peninsula - featuring
links and articles on bands, music events
and information on the latest musical instruments.

As for gear, we believe it's time for North
Queensland musicians to be able to mail order
the instruments and supplies they need locally,
without the distance and disinterest of city
stores. We will
come to you in person and online with deals
as good as you can find anywhere. We'd
love to hear about the music scene in your
corner of the Cape! Let
us know how we can work together to make things
better for the musicians of northern Australia.

lovers who are all working musos and teachers.
As well as being a complete sales, service,
tuition, and hire centre, we are completely
involved with the music community. We
promote artist, events, and festivals,
as well as sponsoring various youth music
programs.
