Welcome to the blog of Patrick & Bronwyn Scharf to highlight with a pictorial history of the construction of GingerBread Girl. The name orginates from the name give to our first Grandaughter, Ginger Grace. The boat has been a labour of love in construction. It has been very satisfiying working with timber to date. It has been helped that in my immediate family we have a reasonable number of power tools.
Check out the pictures in the gallery and return regularly to see the history unfold.
Well the boat has been launched and now has the mast and sails fitted. The little Girl will race for the first time on the 18th and 19 of September 2007 at the All Boats regatta, Lake Cootharaba Sailing Club on Lake Cootharaba.
UPDATE: GingerBread Girl takes third on Handicap at the Qld State Titles on only its third outing under sail. With further tuning She can only get better.
