Australian Air League (AAL) is an organization dedicated to serving the youth of Australia, focusing on aviation.
Over the years the Australian Air league has become known as the primary school for aviation and its activities are looked upon with great respect by the leaders of the nation to such extent, that from the early stages of our history , Governors General of the Commonwealth have been Patrons of the Australian Air League.
Our motto is "A VINCULO TERRAE" translated means "Free from the bonds of earth"
Mount Druitt Squadron
Mount Druitt squadron was open in 1970, with its first night being held at Whalan public school. Soon after the squadron moved to a small building located in Whalan Reserve, where after a lot of additions, surviving floods and fires the squadron headquarters still stands today.
The Squadron headquarters is actually build on the edge of an old RAAF airstrip which was used as a dispersal field and also as a training area for the Repair and Salvage units formed during the World War II and the first RAAF guard dog unit.
