Following the brutal and seemingly motiveless murder
of Mary Burnham, her husband, John - a brilliant economist,
believes he is going insane when he begins to receive
telephone calls from his dead wife. After a number of
seemingly supernatural incidents occure at his London
home, Department S are called in to investigate, and
suggest that there just might be a more down-to-earth
explanation for the paranormal activity Burnham has
been experiencing.
