- Great CD and
idea. Absolutely gorgeous release. All the songs are 80's new wave
covers
The rundown...
- My
Suitor - originally recorded by Berntholer, one of the most
sought after records on the Les Disques De Crepuscule label.
- Dilly
Dally Dolly - Ahh, the Dolly Mixture, incredible British girl
group. One of their more obscure tracks covered lovingly by Kahimi.
- Melt
the Snow - Beautiful atmospheric piece by Virginia Astley. Where
are you Virginia?!
- Drum
Beat For Baby - Weekend (ex-Young Marble Giants) predated the
90's jazz/lounge craze by 15 years, and did an incredible job of
it.
- Black
Velvet - is originally by The Lilac Time
- Since
You've Been Away - was first recorded by Les Disques Du Crepuscule
treasures the French Impressionists.
- The
Photo Song - Holger Czukay - German music experimentalist. Excellent
cover.
- Warrior
In Woolworths
- X-Ray Spex - is the "hidden" track on the CD.
